May 2024 (Tomball, Texas) – WR Transformers is pleased to announce the opening of our United States manufacturing facility in Tomball, Texas. The 20,000 square-foot facility, located at 2103 S. Persimmon Street, is part of the Tomball Business and Technology Park. The facility is equipped to build the same dry-type transformers as the company’s Canadian manufacturing facility located in Saint-Alphonse-de-Granby, Quebec, and has an ISO/IEC 17025 testing lab to assure all transformers are built to North American standards.
Tomball, currently the 215th largest city in Texas, is less than 30 miles northwest of Houston and is an emerging business destination that blends economic opportunity with small-town charm. As part of the Greater Houston Metropolitan area, Tomball’s advanced infrastructure and business-friendly mindset is what attracted WR Transformers to this area.
