Product & Facility Certifications
Product Certifications
All WR Transformers made in our facilities in the United States and Canada are designed and manufactured to these product certification standards.

UL (Underwriters Laboratories) is an independent, third-party organization that tests, inspects, and certifies products for safety, quality and compliance with various standards, especially in the U.S. and Canadian markets. UL certification means that our transformers meet specific safety and performance standards, and assures installers and end-users that the transformer is safe for use and complies with national and international safety regulations.

The Canadian Standards Association (CSA) is a nationally recognized certification body that develops and maintains safety standards and provides product testing and certification. It’s widely recognized in North America and is accredited by:
- Standards Council of Canada (SCC) for Canadian standards.
- Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) in the U.S. as a NRTL (Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory)
CSA certification means our WR Transformers have been tested and approved to meet electrical safety standards for either Canada, the United States or both.

ULcan certification refers to a UL (Underwriters Laboratories) listing that indicates a product has been tested and certified to Canadian safety standards. The “ULc” or “ULcan” marking signifies that UL evaluated the product for use in Canada, in compliance with Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) requirements.

CSAus refers to a certification mark issued by CSA Group (Canadian Standards Association) indicating that a product meets U.S. safety standards.
Facilities Certifications
WR Transformers proves its operational excellence with these internationally recognized certifications for our facilities.

ISO/IEC 17025 is an international standard that specifies the general requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories. It ensures that laboratories produce valid and reliable results, enhancing trust in their work both in North America and internationally. WR Transformers’ testing labs in the United States and Canada are ISO/IEC 17025-certified.

Both of our facilities are ISO 9001:2015-certified. This provides evidence to our customers that we have a Quality Management System based on the seven quality management principles of ISO 9001. The seven quality management principles of ISO 9001 are customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, process approach, improvement, evidence-based decision-making, and relationship management. This certification is renewed annually by a third-party.
